Chester County Fireworks Recap: Where to Celebrate the 4th of July

As the 4th of July celebrations come to an end, we're looking back at the fantastic fireworks displays that lit up Chester County. Whether you stayed close to home or ventured out to Philadelphia, there were plenty of places to enjoy the holiday festivities. Here’s a recap of the top spots for fireworks in Chester County, as covered by Hira Qureshi for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

East Goshen Township Community Day
On June 29, East Goshen Township Park hosted a spectacular fireworks show after sunset. The event was a hit with families, featuring bounce castles, face painting, a petting zoo, music, and food trucks. It was the perfect evening for families to enjoy a festive night out.

Good Neighbor Day in Downingtown
July 4th in Downingtown was packed with activities for all ages, from running and walking events to a lively carnival at Kerr Park. The night ended with a stunning fireworks display at 9 PM, visible across the town, bringing the community together in celebration.

Independence Day Fireworks in Parkesburg
The Parkesburg VFW hosted a fireworks event on June 29 at Minch Park. With the park opening at 4 PM, attendees enjoyed burgers, hot dogs, chips, pizza, and a beer garden for adults before the fireworks lit up the night sky.

Tredyffrin Township Celebration
Wilson Farm Park in Chesterbrook celebrated the 4th of July with a fantastic display of fireworks. Before the show, families brought chairs and blankets to enjoy live music from Just For Fun DJ Joe Griffith. The park was closed until 5 PM for setup, ensuring a well-organized event that concluded with a beautiful fireworks show.
